In an electrifying display on the cross-country trail following a strong ski jump, 19‐year‐old Nathalie Armbruster ignited her engine and powered her way to a World Cup victory in Nordic combined. After taking off as the second-best jumper – following her teammate Maria Gerboth, who set an impressive 96-meter mark on the Tehvandi hill – Armbruster began her race on the track in second place. Within a few meters, she erased a six-second gap on her team rival and overcame Norwegian Ida Marie Hagen, who had established an early lead and had been the strongest in the jump phase.

Armbruster maintained her blistering pace, fending off the challenge as Hagen tried to accelerate in the final stretch. Meanwhile, two other German athletes managed to break into the top ten, underscoring a solid team performance on the day. Although Maria Gerboth recorded the longest jump of the morning, her cross-country effort saw her finish in seventh, while Jenny Nowak completed the race with a 44.7-second deficit. Sophia Maurus, coming back after a disqualification due to an oversized suit the previous day, ended up in 18th place with a 1:43.5 minute lag.

After her win, a still-disbelieving Armbruster remarked, "I can’t even believe it. I didn’t feel strong before the race, but when I noticed Ida was having issues and my coaches were cheering from the side, I just pushed on. I’m so proud, I don’t even know how I did it!" The article also mentioned that Cindy Haasch, expected to compete, missed the race after a fall during landing that injured her knee. Haasch is scheduled for further examination early next week upon her return to Germany.
