Originally published in Eurosport on February 11, 2024
Jarl Magnus Riiber has triumphantly clinched his tenth consecutive victory in the Nordic Combined World Cup series, this time in Otepää. He began with a significant lead from the ski jumping segment, and his performance during the cross-country skiing event left his rivals trailing far behind. Austrian athlete Stefan Rettenegger secured the second position, while Germany's David Mach rounded out the podium in third place, narrowly edging out Estonia's Kristjan Ilves.
Riiber's fellow Norwegian, Jørgen Graabak, finished in seventh place, and Jens Lurås Oftebro came in ninth. This latest win further solidifies Riiber's dominant standing as he vies for the overall World Cup title. Fans can look forward to the next event, set to take place in Lahti on March 3, followed by the final competitions in Oslo and Trondheim.
