Nordic Combined: Riiber Wins at Ruka, Muhlethaler and Baud in Top 10

Jarl Magnus Riiber secured another victory in the Nordic Combined circuit, triumphing in Ruka, Finland, this Saturday. After the ski jump, he came in third place, racing superbly in the 10 km cross-country segment to ultimately outpace competitors Julian Schmid and Jens Luraas Oftebro who completed the podium.

Riiber showcased his exceptional skiing prowess, wearing the red bib for the best skier in the World Cup. He managed to surpass Ryota Yamamoto from Japan and Austria's Stefan Rettenegger, who had led following the jumping round.

Among the French contenders, Laurent Muhlethaler achieved a commendable sixth place, having started near the podium position after jumping. He demonstrated strong performance throughout the race and was within competition's reach until the final stages.

Meanwhile, Mattéo Baud, at only 20 years old, finished in seventh place, moving up from his initial ninth position after the jump, which marks his best career result so far. This event signifies a promising future for both French athletes in the Nordic Combined circuit.
