Riiber wins after huge jump – secures his 78th World Cup victory

Jarl Magnus Riiber jumped 102.5 meters and won the combined start at the World Cup Nordic combined event in Otepää after finishing strongly in the cross-country race.

German Vinzenz Geiger won the 10-kilometer cross-country race and also registered a long jump, but he could only manage third place overall, with Austrian Johannes Lamparter finishing in between. Riiber won by a margin of 10.1 points and celebrated his 78th World Cup victory.

Speaking to the organizers right after the race, Riiber said, "It was perfect. I felt confident after yesterday’s jump, and now I have a very good feeling." Additional results saw Espen Bjørnstad in ninth, Jens Lurås Oftebro in 11th, and Einar Lurås Oftebro in 15th. These competitions in Estonia are the final events before the World Championships in Trondheim.
