Diagnosed with a meniscus and cartilage injury, Riiber is scheduled for surgery at the end of next week. This setback comes after the injury was exacerbated during recent long jumps at the prestigious Holmenkollen event.
The Norwegian Ski Federation has confirmed the surgery but has not provided any details on how long Riiber's recovery might take.
In related news, teammate Mari Leinan Lund encountered an unfortunate incident during a provisional round in Granåsen, resulting in her hospitalization for further examinations.
