Rettenegger is Ready - Young Star Chases First Victory with New Sprint Strength
Originally published in Krone.at on November 11, 2024
Stefan Rettenegger achieved a significant breakthrough in the Nordic combined last year, securing eleven podium finishes in the World Cup. As the new season approaches, he is determined to build on that success and aims for his first World Cup win and an individual medal at the World Championships in Trondheim.
The 22-year-old acknowledges that replicating last season's results will be challenging, but he has intensified his training to address his sprinting weaknesses. "Winning a race is my main goal. I am confident I can compete with the best," Rettenegger stated.
He also highlighted the excitement of facing top competitors like Norway's Jarl Magnus Riiber, who is expected to be a formidable rival this season. "I'm looking forward to competing against him, and we are ready to bring our best," he added.
