
Simon Mach Claims First PCR Victory in Oberstdorf

The Provisional Competition Round for the Men’s FIS Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix in Oberstdorf, Germany, unfolded under clear blue skies this evening. A total of 47 athletes from 13 nations participated in the Official Training and subsequent PCR.
Germany's Simon Mach celebrated a momentous achievement as he clinched the first PCR victory of his career, delivering an impressive jump of 131 meters, which earned him a total of 138.8 points. Close on his heels was Kristjan Ilves from Estonia, currently donning the blue bib as the Best Jumper, who managed a jump of 128 meters for a total of 136.1 points, securing second place. Espen Bjoernstad from Norway rounded out the top three with his jump of 129.5 meters, amassing 135.4 points.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly Johannes Rydzek, also from Germany, who achieved the longest jump of 134 meters but finished in fourth place with 133.5 points on his home turf in Oberstdorf.
