At the Nordic Ski World Championships in Trondheim, the DSV Mixed Team competed under heavy rain in the Mixed Team event. The team, featuring Vinzenz Geiger, Julian Schmid, Nathalie Armbruster, and Jenny Nowak, claimed silver behind a superior Norwegian team. The defenders Jarl Magnus Riiber and his teammates sealed gold for Norway.

The DSV team finished with a significant gap behind the Finns, as Norway's Riiber celebrated his ninth world championship gold in a near-finished career. The bronze went to Austria, who edged out Japan in a thrilling sprint to the finish.

Following the competition, the jubilant armbruster expressed her happiness: "We’re thrilled, thrilled, thrilled!" Geiger echoed her sentiments, stating, "I’m very satisfied with the day," while acknowledging the strength of the Norwegian competitors. DSV coach Erik Frenzel expressed contentment, recognizing that they had aimed for a gold but were outperformed by the Norwegians.

The Mixed Team event featured ten nations competing fiercely for medals. Norway led after the ski-jump segment, with Olympic mass-start champion Yuna Kasai from Japan starting in pursuit. The DSV's Jenny Nowak posted an early jump score of 94.5 meters which put them in good standing for the relay.

In the final run, Geiger took on Norway's strong runner, Luraas Oftebro, but managed to comfortably close the gap to Japan’s Akito Watabe, ensuring their silver finish against the Norwegians' formidable defense.
