Johannes Lamparter, representing the Tyrolean contingent, secured second place at the Nordic Combined World Cup event in Otepää. In a race that combined both cross-country skiing and ski jumping, Lamparter advanced steadily during the mass start and then showcased his jumping skills, recording a 96.5-meter jump which initially put him in the lead for the ski jumping segment.

However, Norwegian competitor Jarl Magnus Riiber surpassed him with a best jump of 102.5 meters, cementing Riiber’s win by a margin of 10.1 points. The result also saw German Vinzenz Geiger finishing in third and Austrian Lukas Greiderer, considered the second-best Austrian, coming in sixth. On the women’s side, Annalena Slamik notched her first top-ten finish by placing tenth.

After the event, Lamparter remarked, “Jarl was unbeatable. You can only tip your hat to him – he is in phenomenal form at the moment. I’m looking forward to the next days as we have two more events coming up in Estonia.” In the overall standings, Riiber has further extended his lead over Geiger, while Lamparter now sits in fifth place ahead of the six remaining competitions this season.
