Jørgen Graabak, a prominent figure in the world of Nordic combined skiing, has suffered a serious setback after an unexpected accident while roller skiing. During his initial training session for the upcoming World Championships at Granåsen, he endured multiple fractures, including a broken elbow and forearm.

Graabak, a four-time Olympic gold medalist, is now facing a recovery period of approximately five weeks before he can return to training. Despite the challenges imposed by this injury, he remains resolute in finding ways to stay fit and continue training within the constraints of his condition. He is contemplating the possibility of roller skiing with his arm in a sling, in addition to incorporating other safe exercises into his regimen.

The World Championships, scheduled to take place in ten months, serve as a critical motivator for Graabak as he focuses on a complete recovery and prepares for this crucial event. He stands alongside other elite athletes on the Norwegian team, including Jarl Magnus Riiber and Jens Lurås Oftebro, as they all aim for success on the international stage.
