Nathalie Armbruster writes history in Nordic combined as she celebrates her first World Cup win at the Seefeld Triple in the Individual Compact event. The 19-year-old, who had secured a third place finish the previous day, delivered an exceptional performance in the ski jumping phase by recording a 103-meter jump. Although Norwegian Ida Marie Hagen posted an even better jump and was initially set to lead into the cross-country section, she was later disqualified following a material check failure.

This unexpected turn of events allowed Armbruster to enter the cross-country interval with a clear lead. She maintained her dominant position throughout the race and finished with an impressive gap of 37.70 seconds ahead of her nearest rival, Norwegian Gyda Westvold Hansen, while Haruka Kasai of Japan ended up in third place, 41.7 seconds behind.

After the race, a visibly moved Armbruster expressed her joy and gratitude in a Sportschau interview, saying, "I am so overwhelmed, I’m fighting back tears. I am so happy and incredibly thankful to everyone who made this possible." She also credited her technical team for providing her with excellent equipment, remarking, "I had really awesome material today."

Armbruster’s victory marks not only her personal breakthrough but is also the first World Cup win for a German female nordic combined athlete.
