The Seefeld Nordic Combined Triple delivered a first-time winner on Sunday. In the final 12.5 km cross-country race of the Gundersen competition’s sprint finish, Vinzenz Geiger surged ahead to claim victory, finishing ahead of Norwegian athletes Jarl Magnus Riiber and Jens Luraas Oftebro.

Johannes Lamparter, the Tyrolean hope, showed promise by taking an early lead and even launching an attack about 700 meters from the finish. However, his effort backfired as he was overtaken during the downhill segment and ultimately finished in fifth place despite being only 10.6 seconds behind the winner.

The race also saw solid performances from the ÖSV team. Stefan and Thomas Rettenegger from Salzburg, along with Franz-Josef Rehrl from Styria, secured positions between seventh and ninth, contributing to a strong team outcome. For Geiger, this result marks his 14th World Cup win and his fourth victory of the current World Cup season. The Norwegian overall World Cup leader, Riiber, who entered the race with a considerable lead, acknowledged the lessons learned from the event as he remarked on the importance of not starting the downhill first.
