Nordic Combined: Johannes Lamparter Wins Again in Klingenthal

Johannes Lamparter had an outstanding weekend in Klingenthal, Germany, securing his second victory in as many days. After winning the first event on Saturday, the young Austrian continued his strong performance on Sunday, which included ski jumping and a 10-kilometer cross-country race.

Lamparter finished ahead of Estonia's Kristjan Ilves, who trailed by 8.4 seconds, and Franz-Josef Rehrl from Austria, who was 8.7 seconds behind the leader. The top French competitor, Edgar Vallet, placed 38th, finishing 3 minutes and 49.9 seconds behind.

This win marks Lamparter's third of the season, establishing him as the sole leader of the overall World Cup standings. His performance this weekend puts him ahead of the renowned Norwegian Jarl Magnus Riiber, who was unable to compete due to back issues.

With his impressive win, Lamparter aims to continue his dominance in the sport as the season progresses, looking forward to future competitions in the World Cup circuit.
