Nordic Combined: Jarl Magnus Riiber Triumphs in Oslo World Cup Competition
Norwegian Jarl Magnus Riiber has celebrated another victory this season by winning the World Cup event held in Oslo on Saturday, which was the first of two competitions taking place this weekend in the Norwegian capital. This win adds to his impressive record as he strives for a third consecutive World Cup title.
Entering the ski portion of the competition with a lead following the ski jumping segment, Riiber finished the 10 km cross-country event ahead of fellow competitors, with Austrian Johannes Lamparter in second place (+53.9 seconds) and his compatriot Jens Luraas Oftebro in third (+1:05.4).
Currently, Lamparter leads the overall World Cup standings, but his advantage over Riiber has narrowed to just 87 points after this latest event.
