
Riiber Dominates the World Cup at Ruka

Jarl Magnus Riiber, the standout Norwegian athlete in Nordic combined, kicked off the season with an impressive win in the second stage of the World Cup held in Ruka, Finland, on Saturday. After securing second place in Friday's event, which featured a large hill jump followed by a 7.5 km pursuit, Riiber showcased his prowess by leading the jumping round with a remarkable jump of 143.5 meters.
He then demonstrated his dominance during the 10 km pursuit, finishing nearly a minute ahead of Austria's Johannes Lamparter and 1 minute and 26 seconds ahead of fellow Norwegian Joergen Graabak, who had also claimed third place the day before.
On the French side, Mattéo Baud emerged as the top performer, finishing in 15th place. His result marked an improvement of three positions compared to his jumping ranking, highlighting his growing competitiveness on the international stage.
