Nordic Combined: Jarl Magnus Riiber Adds Tenth World Title to His Collection
Jarl Magnus Riiber has celebrated his tenth world title. The Norwegian secured the championship on Saturday in the Nordic combined event on the small hill. With this tenth title at the Worlds, he solidifies his dominance in the sport.
As he nears the end of his career this season, Riiber was determined to win on home turf, similarly to fellow Norwegian Johannes Klaebo, who had already won the sprint and the skiathlon earlier in the championships.
Competing in the compact format, Riiber completed the event with remarkable success, finishing just ahead of his compatriot Jens Luraas Otfebro and German Vinzenz Geiger.
At 27 years old, this victory adds to Riiber's impressive record, which includes five individual titles. Having already set the record for the most titles prior to this win, he currently equals the total individual medals record held by German Ronny Ackermann. While Riiber has secured his legacy, he will still compete in the large hill event and team relay, with the opportunity to further extend his records.
