German Triple Victory - No Podium Again for ÖSV in Second Ruka Event
In the second World Cup event of the season held in Ruka, the Austrian Nordic combined team missed out on the podium once more. Thomas Rettenegger finished fifth, making him the best performer for ÖSV at this competition, where the Germans swept the podium with impressive performances.
After a problematic jump, Johannes Lamparter did not make it into the top 40, despite being a former world champion. In the previous event, Lamparter had finished fifth, showcasing stark contrasts in his performance. Jarl Magnus Riiber of Norway, who had triumphed in the first event, narrowly missed his 100th World Cup podium by finishing fourth this time.
Rettenegger fell from second place after the jump but expressed satisfaction with his performance despite the challenges posed by the cold conditions. His brother Stefan, who finished seventh, noted that the strong German team simply outpaced the competition this time.
