Comeback After 22 Months – Aiming for the World Championships
Einar Lurås Oftebro has struggled with knee problems but is now finally back.
This was revealed in a press release from the Norwegian Ski Federation.
Oftebro will have the opportunity to compete in the World Cup in Schonach. His last World Cup event was at Holmenkollen in March 2023.
He does not hide that he is aiming for a World Championship ticket in Trondheim later this season.
– The goal is primarily to perform well in competitions and showcase my potential, but I cannot deny that the World Championships are the main objective of the season. It is crucial to use the next three competition weekends to prove that I have the level required, he stated in the press release.
The Ski World Championships will take place from February 26 to March 9 in Trondheim. Oftebro's best World Cup result to date is a 5th place finish from Ruka, Finland in 2019.
Oftebro is the older brother of the more well-known and accomplished Jens Lurås Oftebro.
