Jarl Magnus Riiber has become a topic of discussion after he openly revealed his struggle with blood in his stool for several weeks. Upon returning from the World Cup in Ruka, where he suffered from these issues while his competitors warmed up, Riiber underwent various tests. Recently, he learned from his medical examinations that he is dealing with inflammation in his stomach, affirming the health concerns he had encountered.

Riiber expressed relief upon getting a clear answer, stating, "The recent test results indicate there is an inflammation in my stomach. It was confirmed through the examinations we conducted. We now have clarity on the situation and can begin to treat it." He has started a treatment plan tailored to address the inflammation that is expected to last for eight weeks.

Despite his condition, Riiber plans to participate in the World Cup competitions scheduled in Lillehammer this weekend, although he acknowledges that he needs to monitor how his body responds.

The national team physician confirmed Riiber's condition, stating, "He indeed has an inflammatory reaction in his stomach and has been placed on an anti-inflammatory course. We expect gradual improvement leading toward the new year and hope this will be an isolated episode."

In an interview, Riiber thanked the medical staff who assisted him throughout this ordeal, but he remains cautious about returning to full intensity in competition. He noted that his focus is on regaining strength and maintaining a steady training pace as he approaches the competitions.

Reflecting on the outpouring of advice he received after his condition was shared publicly, Riiber humorously mentioned the influx of suggestions from many "hobby doctors" who were eager to provide remedies. "There are many out there with various vitamins and supplements they want me to try. It's amusing to see so many people offering solutions for my health issues," Riiber laughed.

As he gears up for the upcoming World Championships in Trondheim within three months, Riiber's focus remains on managing his health while still achieving competitive readiness.
