The Provisional Competition Round (PCR) for the Men’s Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined World Cup took place this afternoon on the WM-Schanze HS98. With 60 athletes representing 12 nations, the stage was set for an exciting day.

Austrian Thomas Rettenegger delivered a stellar performance on home soil, soaring to 95 meters and earning 138 points to claim the PCR victory. His teammate Franz-Josef Rehrl secured second place with a jump of 95.5 meters and a total of 137.3 points.

Jarl Magnus Riiber, the Overall World Cup leader, demonstrated his strength with the furthest jump of the day at 96 meters. However, with 132.5 points, Riiber placed third due to lower wind compensation points.

The weekend’s competitions continue tomorrow with the men’s 10km Mass Start, beginning at 13:50 CET.
