Armbruster Wins at the Premiere of the Seefeld Triple

Nathalie Armbruster, the 19‐year‐old German Nordic combined competitor, stunned the field in Tirol by clinching her first World Cup win in the discipline. On Saturday, she celebrated her debut victory in the Nordic Combined World Cup, and on Sunday she continued her dominant form. Armbruster won by a clear margin, finishing well ahead of Norway’s Gyda Westvold Hansen and Japan’s Haruka Kasai, and also secured the overall win for the event.

Finishing the race in 21:18.7 minutes while proudly carrying a German flag over the finish line, Armbruster later told ARD in an interview, “I absorbed every moment and the feeling of crossing the finish line with the flag is something I will never forget.” By extending her lead in the cross-country part—gaining a decisive 53-second advantage—she not only won the stage but also further established herself as the overall winner of the Seefeld Triple, an event being held for the first time for women.

Other German athletes also showed strong performances. Jenny Nowak finished in seventh place, Cindy Haasch secured the tenth spot, and Maria Gerboth, although placing ninth after the jump, dropped to twelfth overall in the cross-country race.
