German teenager Nathalie Armbruster has achieved what no German female Nordic combined athlete had ever done in the World Cup. At just 19 years old, she secured her nation’s first victory in the discipline by winning the second stage of the Seefeld Triple.

Armbruster delivered a strong performance with a jump of 104.0 m and an impressive demonstration of power on the cross-country course, finishing 37.7 seconds ahead of Norway’s Gyda Westvold Hansen, a double World Championships silver medalist. She also benefited from the disqualification of the Norwegian series leader, Ida Marie Hagen, due to an illegal suit.

After her historic win, Armbruster, who described her emotions as overwhelming and tearful, expressed both relief and enthusiasm. Her victory not only marks an important milestone in German Nordic combined history but also positions her as a strong medal contender for the upcoming World Championships in Trondheim, scheduled for February 26 to March 9.
