Young Skiing Talent Moves to Falun for Development

Evelina Crüsell, a double junior world champion in cross-country skiing, has left Västerbotten to settle in Falun. She believes that Falun provides the right conditions for her personal development and is currently training with Dala Sports Academy, all while continuing to compete for her home club, Skellefteå SK.
Last winter, Crüsell, who hails from Skellefteå, achieved remarkable success by winning two gold medals at the junior World Championships in Planica, both individually and in a mixed relay team alongside Alvar Myhlback from Bjursås. She is now preparing for a new season with Falun as her base, which entails many changes including a new coach, new training environment, new accommodation, and new competitors as she steps up to the senior class this coming season.
"I finished at the ski gymnasium and felt it was the right time for me to move to train with a new group, like DSA, Dala Sports Academy. The only consistent aspect is that I’m still with my old ski club, Skellefteå SK," Crüsell shared.
Her new coach, Johan Granath, expressed that Evelina's move to Falun is exciting and beneficial, noting, "We have many talented skiers in the Falun/Borlänge area, which motivates everyone to develop, something we have seen over many years."
