William Poromaa claimed his first World Cup victory, completing a 20 kilometer classic race at Les Rousses. The victory followed a strong display where he maintained a lead with top competitors including Iivo Niskanen and Simen Hegstad Krüger. During the last lap, Poromaa increased his pace, distancing himself from much of the field and ultimately defeating Niskanen in a thrilling sprint finish.
This achievement brings Sweden's total World Cup wins to three for the weekend, following victories by Edvin Anger and Frida Karlsson.
