Vilma Nissinen and Katri Lylynperä out of the World Cup this weekend

Vilma Nissinen and Katri Lylynperä will not participate in the World Cup event taking place this weekend in Les Rousses, France, as announced by the Finnish Ski Association.

Nissinen had to withdraw from the 20-kilometer combined event at the IMATRA championships last Sunday due to health issues. She revealed on Instagram that she had suffered from food poisoning before the race. Despite this setback, she secured a third-place finish in the 10-kilometer traditional event on Saturday.

Lylynperä, on the other hand, has not yet regained her competitive form following an illness and will not take part in the competitions.

The World Cup schedule includes a 10-kilometer free technique event, a sprint in the traditional style, and a 20-kilometer traditional mass start event.
