Unusual Flight Journey for Swedish Skiing Star

Swedish cross-country skier William Poromaa clinched his first World Cup victory on Sunday in Les Rousses, France by narrowly defeating Finnish rival Iivo Niskanen in a tight finish.
After the race, Poromaa’s journey home took an unexpected turn. Because he was required to undergo a doping test—which can only be administered two hours after the competition—his teammates quickly packed and drove to the airport while he waited. As a result, he ended up on the plane in his full racing uniform, with his bib and face mask still on.
Eventually, Poromaa was able to change out of his suit and take a shower at a hotel in Stockholm’s Arlanda airport, where he spent the night before driving to Sundsvall the next day.
