Unexpected Glitch for William Poromaa Just Before Start

There was drama surrounding William Poromaa just before the pursuit start.

He had received the wrong transponders.
– It's really disappointing, he told SVT Sport.

As the skiers stood ready to start the fourth stage of the Tour de Ski, the cross-country team’s press officer Astri Lindbäck suddenly ran towards William Poromaa.
After the 15-kilometer pursuit, where the 24-year-old finished in 18th place – the same place as his starting number – he talked about the drama before the race.

Poromaa is currently in 15th place overall in the Tour de Ski, 2.19 behind the leader Johannes Hösflot Kläbo.
