Therese Johaug is making headlines as she prepares for her return to competitive cross-country skiing after a two-year hiatus for motherhood. In a recent interview, she proudly revealed that she has achieved an impressive 100 hours of training in August—her first significant milestone since retiring.

This announcement came after renowned Swedish skier Frida Karlsson inquired about Johaug's current performance. "I am proud. 100 training hours in August. This is the first time since December 2021," Johaug expressed with enthusiasm.

Before her break, Johaug was a dominant force in the sport, having won every individual event at the Oberstdorf World Championships in 2021 and excelling at the Beijing Olympics. Now, as she gears up for her comeback, Johaug feels she is approaching her peak performance once again. "The tests I've done for roller skiing and cross-country are the best I have had since the 2021-2022 season. I may not be at my absolute best yet, but I'm not far off," she shared.

With her eyes set on a return to the competitive arena, Johaug’s incredible commitment and training advancements are undoubtedly paving the way for an exhilarating comeback in the world of cross-country skiing.
