Therese Johaug Dazzles at Her First Reunion with the Norwegian National Team

Therese Johaug, the renowned cross-country skier, is making headlines with her triumphant return to the Norwegian national team. Her teammates, including Mathilde Myhrvold, are in awe of her remarkable fitness levels. Reflecting on her comeback, Johaug stated, "I thought I had become older and slower, but there was still some fire left in the body."
Her motivation stems from her goal to compete in the World Championships scheduled for next year in Trondheim, which prompted her decision to return this summer.
During the first training sessions alongside her teammates, Myhrvold felt the intensity of trying to keep up with Johaug. Running beside her quickly pushed her heart rate to its limits, forcing her to take a step back from training. Johaug is often referred to as a "training monster," having logged an astounding 100 hours of training in August alone. Teammate Lotta Udnes Weng remarked that Johaug has once again raised the bar, returning to the elite performance levels she was known for prior to her break.
Excitement is building as the cross-country skiing World Cup is set to kick off on November 29 in Ruka, Finland.
