Swedish Nightmare at the Tour de Ski Opener
The start of the Tour de Ski was a nightmare for Swedish skiers. As the tour kicked off with a sprint in Toblach, both falls and a broken pole prevented the Swedish ladies from reaching the podium.
Maja Dahlqvist made it to the finals, but during the race, her pole broke, forcing her to ski for a considerable time with only one pole, while Johanna Hagström, who had shown such great form, fell in the quarterfinals.
Additionally, Ebba Andersson, who was regarded as one of the biggest hopes for the overall Tour standings, didn't even manage to advance from the qualifying round.
