Swedish Men on the Podium in the Sprint Relay
In Davos, Johan Häggström and Edvin Anger finished third in the sprint relay after a dramatic race. "It was chaos from start to finish," said Anger to SVT Sport.
The race was decided by a photo finish, with Edvin Anger crossing the line just ahead of Italy. The chaotic nature of the race was exemplified when Häggström broke his pole during the second exchange. Additionally, Anger was involved in a minor incident during his second leg, for which he received a verbal warning from the jury afterward.
Anger expressed satisfaction over securing a podium finish despite the chaos, highlighting that they were able to regroup and execute crucial exchanges effectively. "We work on getting into the race more and more, and we ended up on the podium, which is good," he said.
Häggström echoed Anger's sentiments about the race's chaotic nature but praised the team's ability to remain calm and perform strongly in the final stretches.
Norway won the race, with Switzerland finishing second.
