Swedish cross-country national team parts ways with coach Andreas Domeij

The Swedish cross-country national team has seen substantial success during the World Championships, but now, as preparations for the coming season begin, they have decided to part ways with coach Andreas Domeij.

Domeij previously held the position of women's coach for the team and mentioned to SVT Sport that the decision was unexpected despite the achievements the team has had recently.

Anders Byström, the national team manager, explained in a press release that they had not been able to shape Domeij's role with the women's team as they desired, which ultimately led to the conclusion that a change was necessary moving forward.

In light of the upcoming Olympic season, the team is determined to create conducive conditions for their athletes to excel. Domeij expressed his disappointment but also emphasized his pride in what he accomplished with the team over the years.
