Originally published in L'Équipe on January 26, 2024
In the first mixed relay of the year, Sweden made a strong impact. The first team (Poromaa-Karlsson-Burman-Svahn) secured victory ahead of the second Swedish relay (Haeggstroem-Andersson-Anger-Dahlqvist). Norway (Nyenget-Bergane-Krueger-Weng) finished in third place.
The race had been largely characterized by a competition between Sweden and Norway until Lindsey Svahn, ranked second in the World Cup standings, surged ahead a few hundred meters from the finish line. The French relay team, consisting of Théo Schely, Delphine Claudel, Hugo Lapalus, and Flora Dolci, finished in 11th place, just ahead of the second French team.
