Jonna Sundling finished third in the 20 km mass start race. However, she was subsequently warned for obstruction, leading the Swedish team to file a protest in the jury room. "I don’t think I did anything particularly wrong," she stated, reflecting on the incident to SVT Sport.

Sundling sprinted to a third-place finish in the 20-kilometer race at Engadin. Following her race, the jury investigated a potential obstruction during a turn leading into the final stretch, which resulted in a yellow card for Sundling. The Swedish team chose to protest this decision, with coach Stefan Thomson and Sundling participating in discussions with officials to review the situation.

"We thought the decision was quite harsh. Certainly, she was there and touched, but at the same time, she gave room, and I don’t think it's decisive for the outcome," Thomson confirmed, noting that their protest was eventually rejected, maintaining the yellow card against Sundling.

Sundling expressed her discontent, stating, "I don’t believe it warrants a yellow card; it felt more like a verbal warning. But ultimately, it’s the jury's decision. It feels unnecessary. I’m not someone who likes to be in the way. No one wants a yellow card."
