Längdskidor: SVT expert predicts Linn Svahn's first championship medal: 'Definitely'
Linn Svahn has struggled with a serious shoulder injury in recent years and has never won a championship medal. However, this is expected to change in Trondheim, according to SVT cross-country skiing expert Mathias Fredriksson.
Svahn participated in the season's premiere in Bruksvallarna, where she finished in fifth place. Fredriksson commented that while Svahn performed well, he felt her skis could have been better.
"I definitely believe she can succeed. She has had nearly two years where she's been away due to her shoulder, which gave her a chance to reflect and return stronger than before. She genuinely loves what she's doing," Fredriksson stated in Sportspegeln.
The World Cup season is set to kick off next weekend in Ruka, with the World Championships in Trondheim starting on February 26.
