Success for Stina Nilsson in Ski Classics – takes second place
In La Venosta, Stina Nilsson celebrated a remarkable achievement, claiming second place in her latest ski tournament.
"I am very happy," stated Nilsson after her strong performance.
In the previous event, a 60 km long race in Italian Sexten, she finished in fourth place. However, her performance today in the 11 km individual start was even more impressive.
Nilsson managed the challenging ascent very well, illustrating her adaptive strength and stamina.
"The key for me was to start strong to stay competitive in the race," she mentioned, adding, "I felt very strong at the highest point; it was just about powering through to the finish. I am really pleased that it led to a second place finish."
The race was won by the Norwegian Emilie Fleten, while Jenny Larsson took third place, completing a podium dominated by Swedish athletes. Larsson reflected on her strong weekend, achieving dual podium finishes, stating, "It cannot feel anything but good—this is a fantastic start to the January circuit."
