Stina Nilsson Returns to Cross-Country Skiing After Biathlon Exit

Stina Nilsson has returned to cross-country skiing following a brief and not particularly successful period in biathlon. Despite experiencing numerous missed shots while competing in biathlon, Swedish fans are largely supportive of her return to the sport she excelled in for many years.
Her boyfriend, Emil Nykvist, who is a professional biathlete himself, expressed some sadness about not being together as both sports travel separately. However, he views Stina's decision positively, noting that she is doing what she truly wants to do, which is important for her wellbeing. He acknowledged that Nilsson has always followed her own path, choosing what suits her best in her athletic career.
While Nilsson achieved a podium placement since her debut in biathlon, her overall success was limited compared to her illustrious cross-country skiing career, including an Olympic gold medal in sprinting in 2018. Nykvist also humorously admitted his own shortcomings in biathlon, comparing his movements last season to a fawn on ice, indicating he is working to improve his skiing technique as well, possibly with advice from Nilsson through FaceTime in the future.
