The World Cup season for cross-country skiing wrapped up on Sunday with marathons in Lahti, Finland. Following this, many star competitors transition to the Ski Classics series, which is also the case this year. Several renowned athletes are confirmed to compete in the last two challenges, with the latest announcement being three-time world champion Ebba Andersson’s entry.

SVT Sports expert, Anders Blomquist, expresses that this setting suits Andersson quite well, noting the potential benefits of skiing events where participants can utilize grip skis. Previously, Andersson claimed victory in the Reistadløpet challenge in 2022.

Andersson is set to compete alongside previous Ski Classics competitors Victoria Carl and Johanna Hagström. Carl competed last year and finished second in one of the concluding challenges, and facing such competitors is anticipated to add to the tension and excitement of the races ahead. With the competitive lineup, the Ski Classics final events look promising for thrilling cross-country skiing action, featuring a renowned backdrop in Norway at Bardufoss-Finnsnes.
