Teresa Stadlober, a cross-country skier, aims to improve her podium standings at the upcoming Tour de Ski. Fresh off a sixth-place finish in a 20 km classic event in Davos, she feels prepared and energized after a rigorous training block in her hometown of Radstadt. Stadlober has committed to placing within the top ten this year after a previous disappointing performance in the last edition of the Tour.

The Tour de Ski will be hosted in two main locations this year, including Toblach, simplifying travel logistics but reducing the depth of competition due to fewer venues. Stadlober acknowledges the rigors of the event, emphasizing the need for consistent performance over seven stages and nine days, culminating in the challenging ascent to Alpe Cermis. She has previously achieved a fifth-place overall finish during the 2017/2018 Tour and is now setting her sights on an elevation to the podium amidst fierce competition from athletes like Therese Johaug.

While she is confident in her abilities, Stadlober is keenly aware of the challenges ahead and prepares for the need for tenacious performance to secure a better position this year.
