Norwegian cross-country skiing legend Therese Johaug has announced an exhilarating return to competitive skiing. After stepping away from the sport in 2022 to focus on her family and welcoming her first child in 2023, Johaug is now set on competing again, with her sights firmly set on the 2025 World Championships in Trondheim, her home country.

Despite her hiatus, Johaug has stayed active and committed to her training. Earlier this year, she made a striking appearance at Norway's open championships in Lillehammer, where she dominated the competition, leaving her rivals, including American skier Sophia Laukli, far behind.

Even during her time away from professional racing, Johaug discovered a renewed joy in maintaining her fitness. This passion played a crucial role in her decision to return to the sport, particularly to lend support to Norway's national team, which has recently been overshadowed by their Swedish competitors in various events.
