Slind Wins Again, Defeats Johaug in Close Finish!

Astrid Øyre Slind won the 20-kilometer event in the Tour de Ski following a narrow win over her teammate Therese Johaug.

In a thrilling finish, Slind overcame Johaug by just 3.3 seconds, marking her second career World Cup victory, having previously won in Davos before Christmas. The race saw Slind surge ahead with a remarkable effort in the final kilometers, where she gained an impressive 12 seconds on Johaug.

Johaug stated, "I am very pleased. I knew this course and the conditions suited me well, and I was fortunate to catch two competitors who were strong on the downhill sections."

While the Norwegian duo celebrated, Tour leader Jessie Diggins finished sixth, 36.3 seconds behind Slind, showing signs of fatigue as she fell behind in the standings. With just one day left in the Tour de Ski, a crucial 15-kilometer pursuit in classic style awaits.
