Richard Jouve Comes in Fourth in the Sprint Classic at Cogne World Cup, with a Norwegian Triple

Richard Jouve ended the final of the men’s sprint classic in fourth place at the Cogne World Cup stage in Italy. He finished more than 3 minutes and 20 seconds behind the third-place finisher, Even Northug, missing out on the podium. Lucas Chanavat completed the final in fifth place, while Jules Chappaz was eliminated in the semifinals and later disqualified.

The Norwegian team stormed the podium with Erik Valnes taking the victory, followed by Ansgar Evensen who was 0.72 seconds behind, and Even Northug finishing 1.19 seconds further back. On the women's side, the sprint classic was won by Sweden’s Maja Dahlqvist, with Swiss Nadine Faehndrich (+0.94 seconds) and German Laura Gimmler (+1.25 seconds) completing the podium. The best performing French athlete among the women, Melissa Gal, was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
