Ribom tearful after final in Lillehammer
Emma Ribom was emotional after finishing fifth in the sprint final in Lillehammer, having previously battled back issues that caused her to withdraw from the competition in Ruka. This race marked her return, and despite not making the podium, Ribom felt it was a victory just to race again.

In the first competition of the season in Ruka, Ribom had to withdraw due to a severe back injury. This setback followed a challenging preseason filled with injuries. But in Lillehammer, she made an inspiring comeback, qualifying for the final where her teammate Jonna Sundling took an impressive victory. Ribom expressed her feelings, "I'm just so grateful that my body is functioning and I can compete without pain. It hasn't been straightforward for me this week."
