Finn Hågen Krogh is resolute in his quest to don the national team jersey once more. Intensive training sessions with emerging talent Jardar Olsen are central to his plans as he strives to redefine his career aspirations. The chance to compete at a World Championship on home soil is an unparalleled motivator for Norwegian skiers, according to Krogh.

Although he has brought joy to Norwegian fans in the past, recent seasons have not been kind to Krogh, particularly after his departure from the national team in 2021. As he gears up for the upcoming season, Krogh is hitting the roller-ski circuit in Alta with renewed vigor, driven by the presence of his younger teammate, Olsen.

At 33, Krogh knows the path back to the national team is fraught with challenges, but his optimism remains high. He remarked, "For those of us outside the team, performing well from the start is crucial. The upcoming event at Beitostølen will be incredibly significant for us." In past seasons, he could afford to build up his fitness gradually, but now he feels the pressure to arrive at nearly peak performance as winter approaches.

Together, Krogh and the 20-year-old Olsen, who has recently transitioned to senior competitions, are unified in their goal of earning a place at the World Championships. Olsen, aspiring to compete in the U23 World Championship, draws inspiration from training alongside his idol, Krogh, who continues to perfect their skating techniques.
