In heavy rain, Ebba Andersson defeated Therese Johaug to win the World Championship gold in skiathlon. Continued rain in Trondheim is expected to benefit Swedish skiers who have hit the mark with their wax for salted tracks.

"It’s almost like water skiing; it feels like winter is over here in Trondheim," Svanebo said.
