Längdskidor: Poromaa pressade norrmännen – slutade femma!
William Poromaa managed to keep pace with the Norwegian skiers in the closing stages of the 50 km race, which took place in Lahti. He was close to securing a podium position but ultimately finished fifth. After the race, the 24-year-old expressed his mixed feelings, stating, "The body felt good, but I was hoping for more today. I've had a solid season overall, so I can’t complain too much, but the outcome is frustrating."

In this race, Poromaa pushed hard against four Norwegians, including Kläbo, who once again proved to be the frontrunner. While Poromaa initially stayed right behind Martin Löwström Nyenget, Andreas Fjorden Ree, and Simen Hegstad Krüger, he couldn't find the final push to take a podium spot. After a minor mishap where he knocked away a water bottle he needed to catch up, Poromaa reflected on the intensity of the competition, admitting, "It’s tough to see what went wrong today, but I need to keep moving forward."

The race marked the end of the competitive season for Poromaa, who took home silver at the recent World Championships in Trondheim just two weeks ago. He ended this season feeling accomplished yet yearning for more, indicating his drive to improve for the next season.
