Petter Northug, an iconic name in winter sports and a legendary cross-country skier, is eyeing a world record attempt. On December 30th, he plans to host the world’s largest ski training session at a ski stadium in Hafjell, Norway.
Having recently recovered from a biceps injury, Northug is diligently training for this ambitious challenge and is gearing up for several events in Norway leading up to the record-setting day. The current record, established in 2008 in Switzerland, boasts 594 participants. Northug is confident that with a target of 1,000 skiers, this event will not only be monumental but will also foster camaraderie between Norwegians and Swedes.
