Petter Northug is set to reveal significant news as he prepares for the new cross-country skiing season. In a post on his Instagram, Northug invited fans to an event in Oslo on November 14, hinting at an exciting announcement without divulging details.
Having turned 38, the renowned skier is determined to remain a competitive presence this winter. He has expressed a strong desire to excel in the Ski Classics, stating, "I visualize standing on the podium at Vasaloppet, that’s my dream."
Despite speculation about possibly qualifying for the World Championships in Granåsen, Northug has been realistic about his chances, indicating that it would be nearly impossible to achieve qualification. Therefore, he seems to be concentrating his efforts on the Ski Classics series, which features notable events like Vasaloppet, Marcialonga, and Birkebeinerrennet.
