Perttu Hyvärinen returns to the World Cup in Italy this weekend. The action resumes in Cogna, where the Finnish team is sending a mix of seasoned athletes and fresh talent. The team includes 7 women and 10 men in the competition, and there are notable adjustments from the squad that competed in Engadin last weekend.
Hyvärinen has had a tough season, with only one World Cup event under his belt in Davos, and he acknowledges the pressures of succeeding in his return. The competition will follow a traditional format, starting with a team sprint on Friday, followed by individual sprints on Saturday and a 10-kilometer time trial on Sunday.
In addition, the Nordic Combined competition in Seefeld will feature a triple event, and the Ski Jumping World Cup will continue with events in Willingen, Germany. Finnish skier Inkki Inola will also compete in the Para Nordic World Cup in Val di Fiemme, Italy, while the men's team will feature Ristomatti Hakola, Perttu Hyvärinen, and Arsi Ruuskanen among others.
