Norwegian top skier Håvard Solås Taugbøl is leaving the Norwegian national ski team and embarking on a new journey. The 31-year-old will now focus on the Ski Classics marathon races.

Taugbøl is recognized for his strong performances on the World Cup circuit, particularly in sprint competitions. Four years ago, he won a bronze medal at the World Championships in Oberstdorf.

Throughout his World Cup career, he has placed in the top three in sprint races eight times, and claimed his first victory in December 2021 in Dresden, Germany. He also participated in the World Championships held in Trondheim this winter.

In endurance ski competitions, Taugbøl will compete with the team founded by Anders and Jørgen Aukland. This team has been one of the most successful teams in the Ski Classics races since its inception in 2007.
